This Privacy Policy explains how Peak Short handles personal information when you use the Peak Short app and its related website. Peak Short is provided by STAR RIVER ETERNAL INTERACTIVE ("we", "us", or "our"). Contact us at contact@peakshort.cc with questions about your information.

1. Introduction

We respect your privacy. This policy describes the information involved in providing our services, the purposes for processing it, and the choices available to you. The account, purchase, advertising, and other app features described below apply where those features are available in the version of Peak Short you use.

We process personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Depending on your location, these may include the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA), and other local privacy requirements. Where a legal basis is required, processing depends on providing the service you request, legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, legal obligations, or your consent when required.

2. Information We Collect

The information we process depends on how you use Peak Short and the choices you make. It may include:

  • Account information. A user or guest identifier, and an email address, nickname, avatar, or sign-in information you choose to provide or link to your account.
  • Device and technical information. IP address, device model, operating system and app version, device identifiers, language, network information, and diagnostic events such as crashes or service errors.
  • Usage information. Viewing history and progress, episodes watched or unlocked, searches, saved items, preferences, and account activity such as coin transactions, check-ins, or rewards.
  • Purchase information. Purchase receipts, transaction identifiers, subscription status, and records needed to validate and restore purchases. App stores process payments under their own terms. We do not need your full payment card details to validate an app-store purchase.
  • Advertising information. Advertising identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, attribution information, and related device information used for advertising where enabled and permitted.
  • Support and feedback. Your email address, messages, attachments, and information you send when asking for help or making a privacy or copyright request.

Do not include passwords, authentication codes, full payment card details, or unnecessary identity documents in messages to us.

3. How We Collect Data

We receive information directly when you provide account details, use support tools, or contact us. The app can also collect technical and usage information as you navigate, watch content, or use account features. App stores and sign-in providers may supply information needed to complete the transaction or sign-in that you request.

The related Peak Short website does not include registration forms, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or social media embeds. Its page code does not set cookies or store information in browser local storage. Hosting, network, and email providers may process technical logs and messages needed to deliver their services.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use personal information to provide and manage Peak Short, identify your account, deliver content, save progress and preferences, validate purchases, and respond to your requests. We may also use it to recommend content, understand service use, diagnose faults, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal obligations.

Advertising-related information may be used to deliver and measure ads, attribute app installs, limit repeated ads, and administer rewarded-ad activity. Where consent is required for advertising or another optional purpose, we request it through the relevant app or device controls. Optional marketing communications depend on your choices and applicable law.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may disclose relevant information to service providers that help operate the service, host data, support users, validate purchases, or provide security and diagnostics. Disclosure to a sign-in provider or app store may be necessary to complete a feature you request. These parties process information under the arrangements and legal requirements applicable to their role.

Where advertising is enabled, advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP addresses, device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads. Their processing is subject to applicable law and the choices available to you.

We may also disclose information to comply with a valid legal requirement, address fraud or security concerns, protect legal rights, or support a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. We limit disclosure to information relevant to the purpose. Your rights regarding advertising-related sharing are explained in Section 10.

6. Data Retention and International Transfers

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, address your requests, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations. The period depends on the type of information and why it is processed. Account deletion removes or de-identifies associated personal information, subject to lawful retention needs. Copies in backups may remain until they are overwritten under the applicable backup cycle.

Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, including countries in which our service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ between countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or another legally recognized transfer mechanism. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures take account of the information involved and the risks of processing it. No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure.

Protect the device and sign-in credentials you use to access Peak Short. Contact us if you believe your account or information has been accessed without authorization.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, and withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You may also have a right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.

Send a request to contact@peakshort.cc and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized representative's authority. We respond within the deadlines required by applicable law and explain any applicable exception. To request removal of an account, see Delete Account.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The app may use device identifiers and app or SDK storage to maintain a sign-in session, remember preferences, save progress, and support the functions described in this policy. These technologies differ from browser cookies. Device permissions and privacy settings can affect how optional identifiers are used.

The related static website does not itself set browser cookies or use browser local storage. Any external service you choose to visit, including an app store or your email provider, has its own privacy practices.

10. Advertising and Tracking

Where offered, you can choose to watch a rewarded ad in exchange for the benefit shown in the app. Advertising partners may use device information and identifiers to serve personalized or non-personalized ads and measure results. Permission to track across other companies' apps or websites is requested where the operating system and applicable law require it.

You can manage advertising identifiers and tracking permissions in your device's privacy or advertising settings. The available controls and their names vary by operating system version. Restricting personalized advertising may not remove all ads.

California residents may have rights to know, correct, or delete personal information and to opt out of a sale or sharing of personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. If advertising-related processing constitutes a sale or sharing under applicable law, you may request an opt-out by emailing contact@peakshort.cc with the subject "CCPA Opt-Out". You may also request limits on the use of sensitive personal information where that right applies. We do not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by law.

11. Children's Privacy

Peak Short is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps to delete it. The minimum age for using the service is also described in our Terms of Service.

12. Contact Us

For privacy questions or requests, email contact@peakshort.cc. Identify Peak Short and describe your question so we can direct it to the appropriate team.

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. We provide additional notice of material changes where required by law.
